"In a crystal we have clear evidence of the existence of a formative life principle, and though we cannot understand the life of a crystal, it is nonetheless a living being.”
Nikola Tesla
Yes, this is another metaphysical "woo-woo" entry. 😉 Believe it or not, crystals and gemstones can convey knowledge to us. It is possible that this information is already deep inside us, and they only act as keys or carriers that open and transport this information outside - to our consciousness.
A conversation with a stone or a crystal (I use these terms interchangeably) looks like a telepathic conversation with yourself, some will receive specific words, others only feelings, sensations, colours or even sounds. In fact, deciphering the message is very simple, you don't need any courses, any special knowledge or experience. Each of us has this ability. However, many of us have learned to block it and treat any information obtained in this way as fantasy or imagination.
Before this type of conversation, it's recommended to cleanse the crystal using lukewarm running water, white sage smoke, you can also use a selenite plate or sunlight, or bury it in the ground for a few hours. This is especially important if stone has been touched by many people, travelled in a postal package, or has been sitting on a shelf forgotten. Not every crystal likes water and some may change colour under the influence of the sun, so it is worth making sure which method is suitable for a given crystal. Popular stones such as quartz and amethyst don't have such problem.
The formula is simple: We sit in silence and connect with the crystal through the senses of sight and touch. We look at shape, colours, details, how light reflects or passes through it. We appreciate its beauty and express our willingness to cooperate. We hold the stone in our left hand, which is usually the "receiving" hand. We can, if we see fit, place this hand with the crystal on our heart. We open our hearts so that there is no doubt or cynicism left in us, we open ourselves as we would to our most beloved animal or child, with unconditional acceptance and love. If we can, in our imagination we surround the stone with the energy of our heart and allow its energy to permeate within us. It doesn't have to be perfect - we just need to be at least a little open and patient. And that's all. If the stone wants to tell us something, it will certainly do it - in the form of a specific thought or impression that appears in our mind as if out of nowhere. The more we open up, the more it will say. It's worth writing down these conversations to focus your energy on them and thus teach yourself that you simply want to receive such messages. You can also talk to trees in a similar way. 🙃
Initially, there may not be much going on, but I recommend not to get discouraged and try to talk to other stones. Some will be more willing to share than others. With practice, we will be able to intuitively determine which of them is important to us at a given moment. As we become more sensitive to subtle energy, we will sense when a particular crystal wants to talk, and we will notice significant differences in the energy and even personality of individual crystals.
Some stones can be used to help us. In a similar meditation process with a stone, you can simply ask it, for example, to protect you from the influence of external energies, or to recharge your concentration or courage during the exam, when you have it with you. It's best that the intention is very simple – then it will be very effective. It's worth holding the crystal in your right hand, which is often the offering hand, but of course I recommend trusting your own intuition if you feel otherwise.
I would also like to mention that space-time is an illusion - therefore it basically doesn't matter whether the stone is really in our hand or on the other side of the world. However, it's good to at least use a photo or a representation or even a memory of a specific stone to make the received information more precise and thus make it easier to read. In this way, we can also learn to "read" stones sold online from photos (although in my opinion videos are the best for this!) and thus avoid buying a fake or a stone mined in terrible conditions. It's worth paying attention to where we buy our stones from, preferably the seller has a direct connection to the mine, such as my beloved crystal guide Katie-Jane Wright from &Crystals. In the UK I also recommend Castle Rocks Cornwall. I haven't bought stones in Poland yet, so at the moment it's hard for me to comment on specific sellers in our country.
