Inspired by a short story by Dr. Zach Bush on Instagram, I would like to bring you the topic of what really matters the most when it comes to food. Those of us who are interested in health and its natural restoration have heads full of various tips that come to us from different sources about what and how to eat. A simple example is e.g. Ayurvedic nutrition which I talk about on the blog. I also mentioned taking care of the bacterial flora by avoiding pesticides and chemicals in our food.
However, no matter how sophisticated ingredients or recipes you use, there is one value in food that nothing beats. Today I understand why in my family home for a long time we have honoured the habit of eating dinners always as a full team, at the kitchen table. Why was it so important and, as I appreciate it in retrospect, so good for us? To this day, we enjoy coming back home to eat dinner with my parents. After all, nothing tastes as good as a dinner at your Mother's. Because it contains a lot more than vegetables or meat or any spices. It contains Motherly love for us, as well as close contact with her when we eat it together, telling us how our day has gone, or about our plans, or even saying nothing at all.
The most important ingredient is being together. No matter how simple a meal is, it is best when you eat it in a pleasant atmosphere with family or friends - not in front of a computer or TV screen, but with real people, preferably those you love and respect the most.
